Swimming Pool n Spa Heat Pumps.
In the last couple of years the Popularity of Heat Pumps has exploded. They have gotten a whole lot cheaper and also much better Quality. They can heat a Pool or Spa at 8 to over 16 times more efficiency than an electric Element style heater. This makes Heat pumps great for Spas and Swim Spas and also now very relevant to Heat your swimming pool as well & much more efficiently than before.
We have had several Spa customers tell us that the purchase price and installation were quickly offset by the savings on their electricity bill, especially if they are paying peak rates on their electricity.

Not all heat Pumps are Created equal
In his years as a swimming pool & spa Service Technician Mark quickly discovered that he was replacing heat pumps that were only a few years old. That is how he has come to choose EVO heat as the only heat pump we are promoting and Selling. Inferior and cheap units have of course become available but they are not made as well and are not standing the test of time. Evo uses a Titanium Heat Exchanger on all of their units. When a company puts a 25yr Warranty on something (Heat Exchanger) that says something.
In Australia the discussion on Solar Heating or Heat Pumps is interesting as we have so much sun. But especially in Melbourne or anything south, solar only heats your pool when it wants too. With a Heat Pump the pool is warm when you want. So if you have a mid August birthday party you can heat your pool then.
The running costs
Heat Pumps run at the same running cost as a big air conditioner. When you have photovoltaic solar generating electricity these costs are greatly offset. The unit can be set to run at off peak times or when the Solar is generating peak electricity.
The Fusion Model is the base model but a great unit and has a titanium Heat exchanger with a 25 year warranty. CoP or efficiency up to 12.57
The Force Model is their High Efficiency model it also has the 25 year warranty on the titanium heat exchanger and a 5 year Warranty on the Compressor, CoP or efficiency up to 16.25
Heat pumps run on the theory of running them for a long time to slowly heat a pool. They are not quick heaters like gas Heaters.
On Spas 9kw Units will run from a 10amp outlet.
12kw Units will run from a 15amp outlet.
Anything bigger than a 12kw unit needs to be connected by an electrician.
